Does your daily fiber intake amount to the muffin you grabbed at 7-11? Is more than half your water intake for the day in your coffee? I used to get onto my dad about drinking water, and he would say, "well I've had 4 cups of coffee" smh, lol. I believe beauty starts within if you continue to put crap in your body and expect to feel and look good, you're sadly mistaken. Ladies, you know as we age we have to take a little more care of ourselves. For beauty over 40, we have to eat more of the leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables and scale back on the red meats. Drink more, more, more WATER! Green tea, white tea, black tea are also great, try to get in 4 cups. If your insides aren't hydrated, then what do you think your skin will eventually look like? Pack on the makeup if you want ladies, but at night when you wipe that all off, well, the Truth Will Set You Free!

Chicken Burgers with Tomato Salsa

Are you trying to steer  away from red meat? Try these great tasting chicken burgers as a healthy alternative for the traditional burger, and adding the tomato salsa on top gives them an added punch of flavor. 


  • 12 ounces ground chicken
  • 3 scallions, finely sliced
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon pesto
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mixed herbs, such as thyme, parsley and tarragon 2 sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil 
  1. Mix together all ingredients except olive oil. Divide the mixture into 4 and form neat patties. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile mix together all tomato salsa ingredients in a bowl
  3. Lightly brush the burgers with olive oil and cook under a preheated hot broiler or on the grill for 4 minutes on each side until cooked through
  4. Serve immediately with salsa
Tomato Salsa:ingredients
  • 16 (8 oz) cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 red chile, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • grated rind and juice of 1 lime
